Over 4,500 busy adults have earned their Bachelor’s Degree at Eckerd College Program for Experienced Learners (PEL) and our Sarasota Center has been part of the community for more than 21 years. We offer an array of opportunities for our students including evening and weekend classes, accelerated 8-week terms, credit for prior learning, and study abroad opportunities. The PEL Program is geared for adult students (23 years or older) who are either returning to college or beginning the pursuit of their Bachelors Degree. PEL term courses are those taught in the classroom format during the evening or weekend, however many of our courses are available through directed study or independent study as well. PEL term lasts for eight weeks. Each course equals 3.5 semester hours credit. Classes typically meet once per week. There are five PEL terms in a year. The terms start in August, October, January, March and May/June. You can view a list of majors and more information at www.eckerd.edu/pel.
