Qualifications for Membership
Membership in the Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources
Association (SHRA) is personal and not corporate, in accordance with
SHRM chapter policy.
SHRA welcomes applications for membership from individuals
who are currently active (or retired) in some phase of the HR or have a
bona fide interest in the HR and/or employee relations profession. All
individuals applying for membership in SHRA must live or have a primary
place of business in Manatee or Sarasota County at the time
of making application.
Application for Membership
Please apply for membership online. To do so, please click here for the application form. Fees can be paid via credit card online or through an invoice.
applications for membership received by the first of the month will be
considered for approval at the Board of Directors' meeting held that
month. Applications received after the first of the month will be
considered for approval at the next month's Board of Directors' meeting.
SHRA annual membership dues are $100.00 per rolling calendar year. Renewal dues are payable on the anniversary date of membership
Annual membership dues are discounted to $75.00
for individuals who are members of the Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM) and have designated SHRA as primary chapter. If SHRA is not your primary chapter, you may designate it on the attached form and fax to SHRM. Otherwise, dues remain $100 since SHRA will not be reimbursed from SHRM. Individuals will be required to provide their SHRM
membership number and expiration date to receive the SHRM discount.
The costs for general membership meetings and other programs are not included in the annual membership dues.
We strongly encourage all members of SHRA to also become
members of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Membership
in SHRM must be applied for separately. For more information regarding
SHRM membership and dues, please visit their web site at www.shrm.org.

tab to make changes to your personal information such as home address,
employer, certification obtained, email address, etc. If you are unable
to access your profile, email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Meetings are held on
the third Friday of every month at a variety of local establishments.
Fees range from $25 to $40, including guest speaker and a meal. Please
