Educational Programming: SHRA conducts educational programs each year, supplemented by special events and conferences. You'll have the opportunity to learn from local and national speakers on timely topics which are important to you as an HR professional!
HRCI Recertification Credits: Most, if not all, of SHRA's programs are pre-approved for recertification credit through the Human Resources Certification Institute. Additionally, we offer volunteer opportunities that also qualify for PHR and SPHR recertification credits!
Networking Opportunities: Monthly meetings and special events give you an opportunity to network with hundreds of HR porfessionals from Sarasota and Manatee counties. Our annual Network Nite offers an evening of fun and games with the sole purpose of networking with other professionals like yourself.
Certification Study Group: Are you planning to sit for the PHR or SPHR certification exams? SHRA offers its members a FREE study group, twice each year. This group meets weekly for several months prior to the testing window to share study tips and info in preparation for the exam.
Scholarships and Awards: SHRA provides annual opportunities for its members to receive scholarships for degree programs and certification prep, and annual awards for the HR Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
Free Job Posting and Resume Bank: Are you recruiting? Looking for a job? SHRA has a job directory and resume bank right on its website, and it's free! Local employers may post job openings and HR professionals may post their own resumes.
