Compensation Strategies to Recruit and Retain the Best Talent

This presentation will identify the nuts and bolts along with important strategies necessary for a competitive total rewards program in today’s tough environment.  The presentation will address the different types of pay such as base, incentive, differentials, benefits, and other rewards.  Also, we will discuss identifying your competitive market for different portions of your employee population and developing a compensation philosophy for your organization.  Would you recruit for an accountant the same market you do an environmental services aide?  Understanding how these key elements work together in an additive nature to combine and create a total rewards program that is understood by management and staff, legal, fair, and competitive.   Finally, communication is key.  Your organization can have the most competitive program in the market, but if the employees do not understand it, you are not getting the intended return on the investment.  The goal is for compensation and benefits to become a neutral employee relations topic.
