Program Summary & Learning Objectives:

 The Missing link is a hypothetical extinct creature in the evolutionary line; a link between modern human beings and their anthropoid progenitors. As HR trends forward to the executive office (seat at the table), have we found less time (or interest) in administrative processes? When someone leaves your HR team or becomes suddenly out of pocket, do you then realize there is an HR missing link? HR preaches to management and business partners about knowledge management and transfer needs; while at the same time maybe not giving enough attention to their own. Join us as we wade through the jungle of needs and options so that you can find your hypothetical missing link and ensure workplace continuity for HR.  The modern human beings you serve will be appreciative!

About our Speaker:

Kate Shockey, A.K.A. Speakeasy Manager is the Chief Human Resource Officer for the Volusia County Clerk of the Court. She is an Engagement Specialist, Strategy Developer, and a Culture Fanatic. She has a Masters in HRM, and holds both SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. She is an experienced HR leader with direct supervision of professional level staff and responsible for compensation, recruitment, engagement, and strategic development.

In Kate's own words, "Both my parents were in the Navy and I once lived in 11 different places in a 10 year period, giving me an extreme ability to adapt and change, a skill I am thankful for. A baby boomer with Millennial talents. I am an agent for change – no doubt about it! I am currently bringing my talents to a government entity who sought out my experience to create a culture of engagement. My previous experiences in healthcare and professional services have molded my understandings in the workplace. As a firm administrator for an accounting firm, I witnessed firsthand how ethics took down industry greats. As a healthcare manager I witnessed the customer centric revolution stemming from government accountability standards. I am a diehard fan of Cy Wakeman, the Studer Group and CultureRX and fully embrace the changes occurring in the Human Resource Industry."
