The Winner of the 2018-2019 SHRA Diversity Award was Gloria Tracy, SPHR, SHRM-SCP from SCF. Her Diversity efforts consisted of having diversity representatives for all exempt positions to ensure fairness, equality and diversity in the applicant pools. They look at race, gender, salary and years of service and compare this to their student population as they strive to mirror it.  Their annual Equity report gives goals and initiatives for managers to work toward.

Each search committee has a diversity representative that reviews the applicant pool for diversity. They have partnered with the Latin Chambers of Commerce, post to the Sarasota Bradenton NAACP members and attend local career fairs that focus on minority and veteran populations.
