Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association is an affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and HR Florida State Council.

Qualifications for Membership

Membership in the Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association (SHRA) is personal and not corporate, in accordance with SHRM chapter policy.

SHRA welcomes applications for membership from individuals who are currently active (or retired) in some phase of the HR or have a bona fide interest in the HR and/or employee relations profession.

SHRA is a 100% SHRM chapter.  You must have an active membership with SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) in order to be a member of SHRA (Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association).

Application for Membership

Please apply for membership online.  To do so, please click the link above (JOIN/RENEW) to fill out the application with SHRM.  You will see the box with the option to join SHRA.  Any fees can be paid via credit card online via the SHRM website.  Completed applications for SHRM + SHRA membership will be reviewed by SHRM and communicated with SHRA upon final SHRM approval.  

Membership Dues

In honor to celebrate SHRA's 60th year as an organization we will be extending a complementary annual membership for those joining or renewing their membership through the remainder of 2022 through 2023.

Any renewal dues after 2023 are payable on the anniversary date of your Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) membership.  The costs for general membership meetings and other programs are not included in the annual membership dues.

SHRM Membership

All members of SHRA must also become members of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Click on the link above for more information regarding SHRM membership and to join SHRM/SHRA.

Change of Personal Information

Once your membership is confirmed by SHRM, you will be added to our membership database.  Please go to Update Membership Profile under the Members Only tab at myshra.org to make changes to your personal information such as home address, employer, certification obtained, email address, etc. If you are unable to access your profile, email admin@myshra.org for assistance.        

Monthly Meetings

Meetings are held on the third Friday of every month, either virtually or traditional in-person events at a variety of local establishments.  Fees of the meetings include guest speaker with HRCI and SHRM CEU's and a meal.  Please see our events calendar for speaker and topic details, or to register for an event.
