2024 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award Nominations

The Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association proudly presents the annual SHRA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Award. This award will be presented at the annual SHRA Fall Conference to a SHRA member whose organization has best demonstrated its efforts to promote workplace diversity.

According to the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), workplace DE&I can be thought of as 'the collective mixture of differences and similarities that includes for example, individual and organizational characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences, and behaviors.’ However, there is more to workplace diversity than meets the eye. Visible diversity traits include skin color, physical abilities, and traits, gender, and age, whereas the more wide-ranging invisible diversity traits include religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, culture, education level, military experience, communication style, personal beliefs and habits, functional specialty, etc. 

The following application form should be completed and submitted to the SHRA DE&I committee, by August 15.
