SHRA HR Professional of the Year Award
The HR Professional of the Year Award recognizes a SHRA member who has made outstanding contributions to their organization and who exemplifies HR’s increasingly strategic role. 
 
This person serves as a role model for the profession, a leader who sets standards for others and for their profession and serves as the “go-to” person for guidance and solutions. Contributions will be evaluated based on their significance, innovation, and the extent to which the contributions have helped to "serve the professional" and/or "advance the profession." The award is presented by a member of the SHRA board at the annual SHRA Fall conference.

HR Professional of the Year Award Qualifications

  • Be an engaged SHRA Member.
  • Acknowledged for their efforts at their organization.
  • Striving for the highest standards of professional performance in HR.
  • Endeavoring to improve HR professional standards and ethical conduct.
  • Promoting HR professional knowledge.
  •  They have successfully completed a major project or has shown exceptional initiative by implementing ideas or concepts that have resulted in significant service, operational or financial improvement(s).
  • Minimum of three years in the Human Resources field.

Other Specific Requirements & Expectations

  • Cannot be a current SHRA board member.
  • Can be a SHRA Chair/Committee member.
  • Complete the Entry form from the SHRA website. Nominations should be submitted to: myshra1963@gmail.com.
  • Nominations must be received by August 15 to be assured of receiving full consideration.
  • The nominee will receive a trophy, purchased by leaders in charge of the award.  No monetary award.
