Steve holds the following designations: Wharton Business School, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, CEBS, Certified Self-Funded Specialist, CSFS, Compensation Management Specialist, CMS, and Group Benefits Associate, GBA.  Steve is also a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist, CHRP, through National Association of Health Underwriters with 22 years of consultative sales experience.

Vice President of Human Resources for The SKY Family YMCA, Stephanie Deiter attains great personal satisfaction and reward in her role as a Senior Human Resources Professional. Beginning her career in 2001 in human resources with The SKY Family YMCA, she possesses nearly twenty years of extensive experience in the nonprofit sector.  She has provided guidance and leadership to all levels of staff in the organization and her contributions have played an instrumental part in the growth of The SKY Family YMCA.  Her broad skill set includes strategic planning, acquisitions, employee relations, risk management, training & development, and benefits & compensation.

Stephanie is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP). She holds an MBA from Springfield College as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and possesses multiple facilitator certifications from Y-USA

I am thankful for the opportunities that being a SHRA member has afforded me to grow both personally and professionally. I am so excited to be a part of the leadership team in 2018.

With nearly 20 years of progressive human resources experience at the regional, division and corporate level, Renee is currently the Human Resources Director at Aviva, a not-for-profit, faith-based continuing care retirement community in Sarasota. Renee has held previous HR leadership and HRBP roles with Tidewell Hospice and Bright House Networks. 

Renee credits SHRA with positively influencing her career mobility and professional development and is proud to have volunteered with the chapter since 2008. "My affiliation with SHRA, both as a member and volunteer have been extremely rewarding.  I am proud to serve as an ambassador of this wonderful association, knowing the incredible network of support and professional development we offer to HR Professionals and local businesses.  If you aren't a member, you are truly missing a wonderful opportunity to connect."

Sandy Zannino, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

A dedicated and passionate human resources professional, Sandy is a processed based problem solver who believes deeply in offering exemplary customer service to her clients.  

Sandy began her career in the automotive industry in 1998 as Administrative Dealer Assistant at the Florida corporate office for Wilde Automotive.  Sandy was quickly promoted to Office Manager and simply fell in love with the car business.  While continuing her duties as Office Manager, Sandy also became the HR Manager for Wilde, overseeing all Human Resources programs for the company and directing a staff of 2 office administrators. 

She recently founded an HR consulting firm, dedicated to bringing "Hassle-Free” customized HR programs to car dealers.   In her spare time, Sandy can be found reading a book, learning Spanish, or on the dance floor!  She is an avid "salsera” and the only thing that brings her more joy, is being a single mother to her beautiful daughter, Arianna.  Sandy brings focused dedication, integrity, service, and enthusiasm to everything she does and is delighted to be welcomed as part of the team at SHRA!

Patti Durham, BA, SHRM-CP

Ms. Durham currently serves as Human Resources Coordinator at Johns Eastern Company, Inc. She
joined Johns Eastern in 2016 with considerable experience in employee relations, performance
management, resource development and community outreach.

Prior to joining Johns Eastern, Ms. Durham worked with Habitat for Humanity, Drug Free Manatee,
and the Office of Professional Standards for the School District of Manatee County.

Ms. Durham is a member of the Sarasota/Manatee Human Resource Association and currently
serves as Board Secretary. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management,
Manatee County Crime Stoppers, and AmeriCorps VISTA Alumni.

Anthony Gagliano

Anthony Gagliano is the Director of Business and Economic Development for CareerSource Suncoast. He oversees a team of 12 professionals focused on delivering value and services for businesses and veterans in Sarasota and Manatee counties. During his 7+ years at CareerSource Suncoast, Anthony streamlined employer grants while issuing more than $2M to local companies and implemented for-fee services, generating more than $50,000 in revenue in the past two years.

Prior to joining CareerSource Suncoast in 2009, Anthony spent 2 ½ years on staff at the East County Observer in Bradenton, Florida, covering sports and news for a weekly community newspaper.

Anthony is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism-News Editorial. His writing has appeared in the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Tribune, Bradenton Herald, the Valdosta Daily Times and online at

Cally Kushmer

Cally Kushmer was born and raised in Central-Florida has deep southern roots as a fifth generation Floridian. She is currently the Regional Vice President for 5-Star Staffing Solutions, the top progressive and certified woman-owned staffing company in Florida. There, she heads teams responsible for implementing growth and expansion projects focused on improving the delivery of staffing services nationwide. 

Cally is a member of the Sarasota-Manatee Human Resources Association and believes becoming a member is the best way to connect with like-minded professionals, further develop professionally, and share in the pool of knowledge which freely flows within the chapter. She is proud to serve SHRA’s members as Communications Director and HR Florida Conference Ambassador. She also serves SHRA as Membership Committee Chair and is a member of the Education and Workforce Committee for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. 

Cally is married to Danny Kushmer and they have four adult children, three rescue dogs and one rescue cat.

Dawn Laidlaw is the HR Coordinator for Willis Smith Construction in Lakewood Ranch. She attained her BA from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and also obtained a Paralegal Certification from the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia. She was a Litigation Paralegal for 15 years, before transitioning into Human Resources. Dawn holds her SPHR certification as well as the SHRM-SCP certification.

"I feel very fortunate to be a member of SHRA, and part of this tremendously dedicated group of professionals with such a strong desire to provide the highest level of professional development opportunities to the local HR community. Candice Smith Singh

Human Resources Generalist

Candice Smith-Singh is a passionate and dedicated Human Resources Professional. She currently serves as a Human Resource Generalist for Centerstone of Florida. Candice obtained her BA from York University in Toronto, Canada. With over 4 years of HR experience, she has served in the functional areas of Recruiting, Employee Relations, Training & Development, and more recently Benefits Administration, Wellness, and Workers Compensation. Candice holds her SHRM-CP certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.

"HR is an ever evolving field that continually strives to improve upon people experience. I am dedicated to serving others through responsiveness, fairness, efficiency, valuable customer service and feedback. As a result, I am always looking for opportunities for learning and growth, which SHRA has provided me. Now as Programs Director, I will work in partnership with fellow SHRA board leaders to enhance member experience by providing relevant actionable information to other dedicated HR professionals."

Marie Graziosi, SPHR, SHRM - SCP

Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida


2018 Tampa Bay HR Person of the Year

Marie is the Chief of Staff for Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc., serving as the human resources professional; leadership and governance liaison to volunteer Board of Directors and board committees; and providing leadership and management oversight for the operational/administrative functions of the $3.5M nonprofit council serving over 10,000 girl/adult members in 10 counties annually. 

A member since 2006, Marie served as the president in 2017, president elect in 2016, and membership director in 2013 and 2014, and enjoyed volunteering in a variety of other roles where and when needed. As the immediate past president in 2018, Marie will serve as the Nominating Committee chair and looks forward to connecting members with SHRA volunteer positions. Celebrating 55 years in 2018, the mission of SHRA is to champion the highest professional standards of HR ethics and performance by providing ongoing professional development , resources, networking and support for its members and the community.
