With over 20 years of HR experience in various industries, Denise has been blessed with an adventurous career spanning the country. From the mountains of Montana to the beaches of Florida, her love for the HR profession has kept her on the move. As the Senior Director of People & Culture for All Faiths Food Bank, her role allows her to apply her experience and talents while giving back to the community through the mission of Ending Hunger.
A continuous desire to strengthen, support, and unite HR professionals while investing in the profession she loves resulted in her decision in 2019 to serve on the SHRA Board. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve as Secretary, HR Florida Ambassador, Programs Director, Vice President, and now President-Elect. "I’m thankful and excited to serve alongside some uniquely talented individuals and create some HR magic along the way.” In 2021, Denise was honored by the HR Florida State Council as the HR Florida Ambassador of the Year and supports the profession at a state level as a member of the HR Florida State Conference Marketing Team. You can find Denise in her happy place – any place outside, with her husband, Bob, and furry best friend, Kai, by her side.

Karla Detert has over 20 years of HR experience working for large corporations to small businesses. She has been with Gulf Coast Community Foundation since December 2018. As their Human Resource Generalist, she enjoys caring for the team and the culture she helped cultivate.
Karla and her husband have a blended family with five children and four grandchildren, who occupy most of her time. When not with her family, she enjoys attending baseball and football games.

Shannon started her career in Employee Benefits when she moved from Upstate NY to Southwest Florida in 2006. Kerri Sisson leads HUB's operations, with
responsibility for businesses in the Southwest Florida market.
She also oversees the company’s ongoing expansion efforts
into local emerging markets.
In her previous role with Leading Edge Companies, she served as Managing Partner and was
responsible for the growth and expansion of the agency including sales, marketing, and daily
operations. Under her leadership, the agency experienced unprecedented growth and
expanded regional market presence. Kerri has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry consulting with business
leaders on effective strategies to maximize the impact of their healthcare spend, with a specific
focus on increasing employee retention and improving profitability.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, a 2-15 life, health and variable
annuities license, and Series 6 securities license. She also has earned the Accredited Investment
Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, making her a qualified fiduciary to the benefit plans that she
advises.
Over the years Kerri has served in many leadership roles for several trade organizations and
associations including the Small Business Advisory Council for United Healthcare and State
Insurance Council for the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association. She is also a past
President for Women in Business with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and an
Emerging Leaders graduate.
Kerri and her husband Robert have two children, and enjoy boating, fishing, and spending time
with family and friends. |

Kristina Galvan started working in HR unintentionally by working at one of the early staff leasing companies doing payroll. She made a short detour away from HR and worked in Business Immigration where an opportunity opened up for an HR Coordinator. In 2021, Kristina earned her SHRM-CP and PHR certifications and formally joined SHRA later that year. As a SHRA member, she started to connect with her other colleagues that shared her badge of “HR department of one.” Kristina served as programs assistant in 2022 and is excited to move into 2023 as Programs Director for SHRA. | SHRA Member Since 2021

Don Olson is a Workforce Education Consultant at CareerSource Suncoast and is focused on Entrepreneurial Education and special events including State-of-Talent-Conference (SOTC), Pathways to Success Series, eRising, and more. Don has studied Geography, Culture, Business, and Human Resources Management and earned his PHR in 2016. His 30 year career started with the United States Navy where Don served as ‘Ships Quartermaster’ with a focus on navigation and weather analysis. Don attended Western Illinois University. Don worked full-time for local and state government while juggling a side-hustle business as a wedding event decorator and floral designer. Don resigned from the FDOT as an ITS Project Manager in 2010 to launch his Consulting venture focused on business strategy and strategic HR. Don grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was a varsity letterman for participation in the award-winning Concert Choir and Jazz Swing Choir. He has traveled the world; however, Don moved to Sarasota in 2010 where he began attending SHRA meetings. Don has many years of experience in technology support and software development. He is excited to lead as Technology Director for our SHRA chapter.

Roseanne Gutmann, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Founder and Principal Consultant Genesis Organizational Development, LLC
Roseanne Gutmann is a strategic organizational development and human resource management consultant. Roseanne earned a BA from Clemson University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Development from Virginia Commonwealth University. She holds both SHRM and HRCI senior certifications. Her 30-year HR career started with the Dept. of the Army in Germany. Later, in Virginia, she worked for one of the largest state government agencies implementing large scale culture change initiatives. She served as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Richmond’s Leadership Institute and had the opportunity to travel across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe for a variety of Organization Development assignments.
After moving from Virginia to Florida in 2013, Roseanne joined SHRA. “Joining SHRA provided wonderful networking opportunities that helped me land my first HR Leadership role here in Sarasota. I will always be grateful!” She served as a Communications Committee volunteer and was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” for 2015. In 2020, she joined the SHRA Board in the Programs Director role and served in that capacity for two years. “I am looking forward to serving this amazing organization of dedicated and passionate HR professionals as President- in 2023.”
